Kim Stevenson’s Biography

Kim Stevenson is the Chief Information Officer of Intel, a $55 billion technology company that designs and manufactures digital technology platforms. Kim leads the more than 6,000 worldwide IT employees to drive competitive advantages and provide IT solutions.

Prior to joining Intel, Kim spent seven years at the former EDS (now HP enterprise services), in a variety of positions including vice president of Worldwide Communications, Media and Entertainment (CM&E) Industry Practice, and vice president of Enterprise Service Management where she oversaw the global development and delivery of enterprise services. Before joining EDS, Kim spent 18 years at IBM in several executive positions including vice president of Marketing and Operations of the eServer iSeries division.

Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cloudera and Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc.

Kim has a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University. She also has an MBA from Cornell University, Johnson School of Management, where she is currently a member of the Advisory Board.

Lidia Fonseca’s Biography

Lidia Fonseca is the Chief Information Officer of Quest Diagnostics, a $7.5B provider of clinical laboratory services. As CIO, Lidia leads the IT function, enterprise architecture, and integrates process, data, and systems across the network.

Prior to working at Quest Diagnostics, Lidia served in multiple technology roles at other major healthcare organizations including LabCorp and Philips Medical Systems.

Lidia is a member of the Board of Directors at Gannett, a large media holding company, and is also an advisory board member of Medivo, a healthcare data company.

Lidia earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkley, and received her MBA and Master of Business Informatics from the Erasmus Graduate School of Business.

Linda Clement-Holmes’ Biography

Linda Clement-Holmes is the Chief Information Officer of Proctor & Gamble, the $76 billion consumer packaged goods company.  Linda began her career with Proctor & Gamble 32 years ago, starting as a systems analyst, before undertaking roles including the first ever Chief Diversity Officer, Senior Vice President of Global Business Services, and Global Information & Decision Solutions Officer.

Beyond Proctor & Gamble, Linda is involved with multiple boards, including as a member of the Board of Directors of Cincinnati Financial Corp.

Andi Karaboutis’ Biography

Andi Karaboutis is the Executive Vice President of Technology and Business Solutions at Biogen, a $10 billion global biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition to overseeing information technology, she leads the digital health technology, and advanced analytics teams unlocking new insights from commercial, patient and clinical data in innovative applications, including informing the drug discovery process. She is also a member of the board of Advance Auto Parts.

Prior to her time at Biogen, Andi was Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Dell, where she was responsible for managing the enterprise-wide IT organization.  Prior to her tenure at Dell, Andi was the Executive Director of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Information Officer at General Motors. Andi also spent about 15 years at Ford Motor Company after consulting with the company during her role as a Software Quality Assurance Coordinator at the Compuware Corporation.

A highly accomplished professional, Andi holds many publications across a variety of technology journals as well as a host of honors and awards including Top 100 Women in STEM, Top 10 Women in Technology and Top 75 CIOs, CIO Outlook in 2012 and more recently in 2014 was an MIT CIO Sloan Leadership Award Finalist.

Andi holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Computer Control Systems from Wayne State University.

Mark Sunday’s Biography

Mark Sunday is the Senior Vice President and CIO of Oracle.  In that role, Mark has responsibility over the technology infrastructure of the global organization, as well as the operational infrastructure for Oracle’s on-demand product offerings.

Prior to joining Oracle, Mark served as the CIO of Siebel Systems, a customer relationship management software tool, which was acquired by Oracle in 2005.  Mark has also held roles at a variety of other technology organizations including Motorola, ST Microelectronics, and Texas Instruments.

Outside of Oracle, Mark has served on several advisory boards, including Altiris (now owned by Symantec), and is also a trustee of the Utah Technology Council and Economic Development Corporation of Utah.

Christopher Hjelm’s Biography

Christopher Hjelm is currently Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer for The Kroger Co. Chris leads the technology strategy, and is responsible for all aspects of engineering, site architecture, operations, and services.  Before joining Kroger in 2005, Chris was Chief Information Officer at Cendant’s Travel Distribution Services and Senior VP for Technology at eBay.

Chris has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience at high-growth Internet companies as well as Fortune 500 firms, having served at Orbitz, Cendant Corp., eBay, and Federal Express.  He has been a Director of Rehabcare Group Inc. since July 2007 and a Director of Kindred Healthcare Inc. since June 2011. He serves as a Member of CIO Advisory Board of newScale LLC, which designs, manufactures and distributes networking equipments, and as a Member of Advisory Board at Channel Velocity, Inc.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the Colorado State University and an Honorary PhD in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University.

Stephanie von Friedeburg’s Biography

Stephanie is the CIO and VP for Information Technology Solutions at the World Bank Group, a role she has held since 2012.  Among other responsibilities, Stephanie is in charge of driving IT strategy at the World Bank Group.  She’ll speak about the transformation she has led in our interview.

Stephanie began her career at the World Bank in 1992, serving in a variety of roles, including CIO for the International Finance Corporation, Manager for IFC General Manufacturing Investments in Russia and the former Soviet republics, and Manager for IFC’s Global Telecommunications Portfolio, amongst other roles.

Stephanie is also on the advisory board of Box.org, the non-profit directed arm of Box.com, an online service that provides files sharing, collaborating, and other tools for files uploaded to its servers.  She also serves as a leader of the International Finance Institution Women in IT organization, which advocates for the advancement of women in IT, as well as sitting on the board of the Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.  She received her Master of Arts from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, also at the University of Pennsylvania.

Angela Yochem’s Biography

Angela is the Global CIO of BDP International, a leading privately-held global transportation and logistics management firm. Among other responsibilities, Angela oversees the setting and implementation of the corporate strategy and several aspects of governance and operating committee functions. In addition to her role at BDP International, Angela serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh.

Before her tenure at BDP International, Angela served as the Chief Technology Officer at AstraZeneca, the multinational pharmaceutical and biologics company. Among many key responsibilities, Angela was responsible for the development of the company’s Innovation Network composed of external partners, technology companies, research institutions and various other thought leaders, investors and start-ups.

Angela has also served as the Corporate IT executive and Divisional CIO at Dell, a positions she undertook after serving as the SVP, Technology Executive at Bank of America and Vice President Information Services at SunTrust Corporation. Angela also served as the Lead System Architect at UPS and a Solutions Architect at IBM among other roles in the early part of her career.

Along with her Board position at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, Angela has served as a member of the Industry Advisory Board at the University of Tennessee, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the CIO Council, DEMO – Emerging Technology Launchpad, the Advisory Boards at Patients Matter and cWyze and is a Fellow of the International Association of Software Architects.

Tom Nealon’s Biography

Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of Southwest Airlines Co., a role he has held since December 1, 2010. On April 16, 2012, he also began serving as a member on the Board of Directors of the Fossil Group Inc. Tom was also the Group Executive Vice President of J.C. Penney, a role he assumed after having spent time as EVP and CIO.  During his tenure with the company, he oversaw all of information technology including the design and ongoing development of systems and infrastructure to support the long-range plan and strategic business objectives. He also led the development of innovative technological and process improvements across J. C. Penney to improve customer experience and increase efficiency.

Before his time at J. C. Penney, Tom served as the Senior Vice-President of Technology and Chief Information Officer of Southwest Airlines Co. At Southwest, he led the transformation of their technology organization and the improvement of all business processes surrounding customer interactions. His initiatives caused significant technology-driven improvements across most of the business from ground and flight operations to maintenance and engineering, schedule planning and even southwest.com.

Prior to his time at Southwest, Tom was a partner with the Feld Group, a position he undertook after spending time as the CIO of Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo.

Tom received the 2010 MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Award for Innovation Leadership and was recognized by Information Week as a “Premiere 100 CIO” in 2007. He has also served as a MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Award Judge since 2012.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Dallas.

Ralph Szygenda’s Biography

Ralph is the former Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer of General Motors.  Since his retirement in 2009, Ralph has been the Managing Partner at UST Global and serves on Investment Advisory Board of Lead Edge Capital as well as Chairman of the Customer Advisory Board at iRise. He is also a Senior Advisor to the CEO of Elastic Outreach and serves as a member of the H John Heinz III Business College Deans’ Advisory Board at Carnegie Mellon University. From 1994 to 2013, Ralph served on various other Boards including Covisint, Compuware, Handleman Company and Sodalia Corporation.

Prior to his tenure at GM, Ralph served as Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Bell Atlantic Corporation. Ralph also spent 21 years at Texas Instruments Inc. prior to his time at Bell Atlantic. In 1989, he was appointed Vice-President, Information Systems and Services and Chief Information Officer. Two years later, in 1991, he added the responsibility of Vice-President and General Manager of Texas Instruments Enterprise Systems Business Unit, an external software systems integration business supplying information products and services to the Fortune 500.

Ralph has won numerous awards including being named Information Week’s 2002 Chief Information Officer of the Year and being named to CIO magazine’s Hall of Fame in 2007.

Ralph holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1970 and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas in 1975.
