Terry Bradwell’s Biography

Terry Bradwell is the Chief Enterprise Strategy and Innovation Officer of AARP, a non-profit advocacy organization with an annual revenue of $1.5 billion. Terry is responsible for strategic planning, corporate relations, and an innovation lab.

Terry previously served as AARP’s Chief Information Officer where he transformed the IT organization from a “cost center” to a “value center.” Prior to joining AARP, Terry was a principal for IBM’s Media and Entertainment practice and a solution delivery executive for Gaming-Technologies Corporation.

Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems from Florida A&M University that he earned while on a full athletic scholarship.

Baljit Dail’s Biography

Guy Chiarello’s Biography

Guy Chiarello is the President of First Data Corporation, an $11 billion global payment technology solutions company that handles almost half of all US credit and debit transactions.  In that role, Guy focuses on innovation, product development and technological systems, while engaging customers and business leaders to create and enhance First Data’s market solutions.

Prior to his role at First Data, Guy was the Chief Information Officer at JPMorgan Chase, where he had responsibility for technology across seven lines of business and helped drive innovation, including creation of a suite of digital banking platforms. Prior to that, he was an IT executive at Morgan Stanley.

Chris Perretta’s Biography

Chris is the Global Head of Enterprise Data and Technology of State Street Corporation, a $10 billion financial services holding company.  In that role, Chris is tasked with engendering and fostering the group’s overall technology strategy, whilst aggregating State Street’s data and insights for its global clientele.

Chris has been with State Street since 2007, most recently as the Chief Information Officer.  Prior to State Street, Chris held multiple roles with divisions of General Electric.  He began his career with Andersen consulting.

Timothy Kasbe’s Biography

Timothy Kasbe is the Chief Operating Officer of Gloria Jeans, a Russian apparel manufacturer that operates more than 600 stores in Russia and the Ukraine, and is one of the fastest growing retailers in the world.  As Chief Operating Officer, Timothy leads the supply chain, information technology, and strategy of the organization.

Prior to joining Gloria Jeans, Timothy held several CIO posts at other organizations including Intrexon, Sears Holdings Corporation, and Reliance Industries.

Andi Karaboutis’ Biography

Andi Karaboutis is the Executive Vice President of Technology and Business Solutions at Biogen, a $10 billion global biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition to overseeing information technology, she leads the digital health technology, and advanced analytics teams unlocking new insights from commercial, patient and clinical data in innovative applications, including informing the drug discovery process. She is also a member of the board of Advance Auto Parts.

Prior to her time at Biogen, Andi was Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Dell, where she was responsible for managing the enterprise-wide IT organization.  Prior to her tenure at Dell, Andi was the Executive Director of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Information Officer at General Motors. Andi also spent about 15 years at Ford Motor Company after consulting with the company during her role as a Software Quality Assurance Coordinator at the Compuware Corporation.

A highly accomplished professional, Andi holds many publications across a variety of technology journals as well as a host of honors and awards including Top 100 Women in STEM, Top 10 Women in Technology and Top 75 CIOs, CIO Outlook in 2012 and more recently in 2014 was an MIT CIO Sloan Leadership Award Finalist.

Andi holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Computer Control Systems from Wayne State University.

Marina Levinson’s Biography

Marina is a partner at Benhamou Global Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley.  She is also the founder and CEO of CIO Advisory Group, LLC which provides technology advice to CEOs, private equity firms, and startups.  In addition to that work, Marina also serves on boards for several companies including Ellie Mae (a mortgage software provider).  She also chairs CIO advisory boards at Aruba Networks (HP’s networking arm) and SnapLogic (a cloud services provider).

Before her current positions, Marina served as SVP and CIO of NetApp, where she was responsible for the global IT functions of the organization.  Prior to that, she served as the CIO of Palm, Inc., the maker of the Palm Pilot, which was later sold to HP.

Marina is a highly awarded executive, who received the CIO 100 Award in 2001, 2004, and 2009-2011, as well as a Computerworld Premier 100 award in 2004.  Marina received her Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the St. Petersburg Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics in Russia in 1979.

Andre Mendes’ Biography

Andre is the interim CEO of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, a government agency whose goal is to deliver news and information to audiences overseas.  As interim CEO, Andre oversees all aspects of U.S. international media, and provides management of BBG’s technical, professional, and administrative operations.

Prior to assuming the interim CEO role, Andre served as the director of global operations, managing and supervising the IBB Chief of staff, as well as the Office of Technology, Services, and Innovation.  He also served as the program administrator for grants made to BBG-sponsored grantees.

Prior to joining BBG, Andre served as senior vice president of strategic planning and CIO of Special Olympics International, where he managed the organizations technology infrastructure and helped develop a four year Special Olympics strategic plan.  Previously, Andre also served as Chief Technology Integration Officer for PBS (the Public Broadcasting Service).

Jean-Michel Ares’s Biography:

Jean-Michel is the Chief Technology and Operations Officer for BMO Financial Group, Canada’s fourth largest financial institution. Suren Gupta’s Biography

Suren is the Executive Vice President of Technology and Operations for Allstate Insurance Company, the United States’ third largest personal lines insurer. Suren is considered an innovative force in enhancing delivery capabilities that support a 24/7 global operation, a topic we cover in some depth in this interview.  Among other responsibilities, Suren leads a global organization that delivers innovative and transformational technological solutions for Allstate’s customers, agency owners and employees.

Prior to his tenure at Allstate, Suren served as Group Chief Information Officer and Executive for Wells Fargo, the American multinational banking and financial services holding company, where he was responsible for the re-engineering of the real estate lending division’s service delivery. Under his leadership, new delivery capabilities enabled the field sales force to serve customers more effectively with just-in-time information.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Gupta also served as a founding member of the corporate executive team of Airclic Inc., a start-up wireless Internet venture and was senior vice president, informational technology and operations for GMAC Residential, a division of General Motors.

Suren is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and received a master’s degree in computer engineering from West Virginia University, as well as an MBA from George Mason University. In addition to these accomplishments, he serves on the Chicago Public Library Foundation Board as well as the board of the American chapter for Pratham, a nongovernmental organization that provides pre-school education to children in India’s slums.
