CIO of Cox Enterprises
Richard Cox is the chief information officer of Cox Enterprises, a privately held, family-owned $21 billion conglomerate that operates three major subsidiaries: Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, and Cox Media Group. As CIO, Richard is responsible for overseeing IT across the enterprise, including strategy and standards, as well as providing guidance to business unit leaders on opportunities around data analytics, business intelligence, infrastructure, security, and more. Richard began his career with Cox at Cox Automotive, where he held several leadership positions. In 2018, Richard spent time as the Chief Operating Officer for the City of Atlanta as an executive on loan.
