Dr. Jim Goodnight’s Biography
Jim is one of the creators of SAS software and is the Chief Executive Officer of SAS Institute, the developer of analytics software that owns the largest market share for advanced analytics. Jim co-founded SAS Institute as a faculty member of North Carolina State University in 1976 and has been CEO since.
Jim along with fellow faculty member Anthony James Barr were the project leaders for the early development of SAS and when the software reached 100 customers in 1976, Jim and three colleagues founded the SAS Institute after leaving the University. As CEO, Jim has grown the company from a $138,000, 21 employee company in the late 1970s to a $3.02 B, 13,739 employee company in 2013. Under Jim’s leadership, the SAS Institute has been profitable every year in its 35 years as a private company and between 1984 and 2012 has made 19 successful acquisitions.
In 2004, Jim was named a Great American Business Leader by Harvard and was also named one of America’s 25 Most Fascinating Entrepreneurs by Inc. Magazine the same year. He also frequently speaks and participates at the World Economic Forum. Jim is also ranked 58 on the Forbes 400 Richest Americans list with a net worth of $7.2 B.
Jim holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Statistics from North Carolina State University where he was a faculty member from 1972 to 1976.

Jon Harding’s Biography
Jon is the Global CIO of Conair Corporation, a multi-billion dollar company focused on small appliances, personal care products, and health and beauty products for professionals and consumers. Jon has worldwide responsibility for the company’s IT in support of both day-to-day operations and future business growth.
Before joining Conair, Jon was director of IT for the U.S. Snacks Division of Kellogg Company (formerly the Keebler Company) that Kellogg’s acquired in 2001. Patty Morrison’s Biography
Patty is the Executive Vice President, Customer Care Shared Services and Chief Information Officer of Cardinal Health, a Fortune 21 health care products and services company. Patty has been in this role since 2009 and has been responsible for Cardinal Health’s enterprise-wide IT, Customer Contact Centers, and Contracts & Pricing.
Prior to her current role, Patty was EVP and CIO for Motorola where she oversaw all strategic, operational and financial aspects of their IT architecture, systems, tools, processes and infrastructure.

Brian Bonner’s Biography
Brian is the Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Texas Instruments, a $13B semiconductor company with more than 30,000 employees worldwide. Brian also sits on the company’s Strategic Leadership Team.

Lee Congdon’s Biography
Lee is the chief information officer of Red Hat, and in that role, he is responsible for the company’s global information systems, including the technology strategy, enterprise architecture, information technology governance, solutions delivery, and systems operations supporting the company. His role includes enabling Red Hat’s business through services such as knowledge management, technology innovation, technology-enabled collaboration, and process improvement.

Helen Cousins’ Biography
Helen is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Lincoln Trust Company, a role she has had since 2006. As part of the ownership team, she has led the transformation of the company into an analytical organization by implementing a business process management program encompassing business intelligence and workflow management for the entire organization.
Prior to her current role, Helen was SVP and CIO for Dex Media, Inc where she led the enterprise implementation of a new technology platform. Nic is the co-founder and chief product officer of Edmodo, a private K-12 classroom communication tool that’s drawn 15 million teachers and students together in only four years.
