Rich Karlgaard’s Biography:
Rich has served as the Publisher of Forbes magazine since 1998. In addition to his role at Forbes, Rich serves as an Advisor at Rocket Ventures and as a Member of the Advisory Board of Prometheus Investment Group. He is also a Co-Founder of Garage Technology Ventures LLC and currently serves on its Board of Directors, along with serving on the Boards of New EA, Intelius and MobShop.
Prior to his current role as Publisher of Forbes, Rich served as the Editor of Forbes ASAP in concert with writer and futurist George Gilder and Forbes’ CEO Steve Forbes. Prior to this role, he co-founded and edited Upside magazine and also co-founded the 6500 member business and technology forum in Silicon Valley, the Churchill Club. In addition, Rich co-founded garage.com, which later became Garage Technology Ventures, a web-based startup capital firm, in 1997 with Guy Kawasaki and Craig Johnson.
In 1997, for his efforts in founding the Churchill Club, Rich was named a Northern California winner of the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award. In 1998, he was named to Upside magazine’s Elite 100 in the computer and communications industries. Rich also serves as a regular panelist on Forbes on FOX and as an analyst on CNBC’s The Kudlow Report. He was also the author of Life 2.0: How People Across America Are Transforming Their Lives by Finding the Where of Their Happiness, a Wall Street Journal business bestseller, in 2004 and more recently The Soft Edge: Where Great Companies Find Lasting Success, which released in 2014.

Bruce Hoffmeister’s Biography:
Bruce is Global Chief Information Officer for Marriott International, where he holds global accountability for all business information technology resources.
With Marriott since 1989, Bruce brings a vast and diverse set of experiences to this role. He was previously Senior Vice President, IR Shared and Application Services, leading the effort to drive sustainable efficiencies within the technical infrastructure that supports the computing resources for Marriott’s worldwide operations. In addition, he directed the development efforts to replace and update the Sales and Marketing, Event Management and Revenue Management systems in order to optimize profits across the total hotel, increase the efficiency of the selling process and enable the delivery of superior events.

Angela Yochem’s Biography
Angela is the Global CIO of BDP International, a leading privately-held global transportation and logistics management firm. Among other responsibilities, Angela oversees the setting and implementation of the corporate strategy and several aspects of governance and operating committee functions. In addition to her role at BDP International, Angela serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh.

Steve Gold’s Biography
Steve is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for CVS Caremark Corporation. In this role since July 2012, he is the company’s senior technology executive, with responsibility for all information systems and technology operations, including information technology strategy, application development and technology infrastructure. Steve was previously Senior Vice President and CIO for Avaya, and also held similar roles at GSI Commerce and Merck & Co., where he supported its Human Health and Vaccine division.

Vic is Executive Vice President, Enterprise Business Solutions and Chief Information Officer at EMC Corporation. EMC is a global leader in data storage services and cloud computing. Vic joined EMC in January 2013 and is responsible for leading EMC’s Information Technology, Global Centers of Excellence, Global Business Services, and Indirect Procurement organizations.

Tom Nealon’s Biography
Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of Southwest Airlines Co., a role he has held since December 1, 2010. On April 16, 2012, he also began serving as a member on the Board of Directors of the Fossil Group Inc. Tom was also the Group Executive Vice President of J.C. Penney, a role he assumed after having spent time as EVP and CIO. During his tenure with the company, he oversaw all of information technology including the design and ongoing development of systems and infrastructure to support the long-range plan and strategic business objectives. Gary is the publisher emeritus for CIO magazine, America’s leading magazine and Web site for technology executives. Gary is also the author of the bestselling book The U.S. Technology Skills Gap: What Every IT Exec Needs to Know to Save America’s Future.
In 1995 Gary founded Tech Corps, a non-profit and the nation’s longest standing group challenging IT workers to volunteer time to public schools.
