In this special episode, you will hear a live recording of the “Digital Imperative” panel from the 2019 Metis Strategy Summit, which was held in Dallas Texas for a select group of Global CIOs. The panel is moderated by Metis Strategy Vice President and West Coast Office Lead Chris Davis, and features two guests who have previously been on the broadcast: Diane Schwarz and Adriana (Andi) Karaboutis. Diane Schwarz is the Chief Information and Digital Officer of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., a Dallas based holding company for a privately owned group of entities in the areas of oil and gas exploration and production, refining, real estate, investments, ranching, and infrastructure. In her role, Diane oversees global teams to lead digital transformations, maintain cyber security, enable data analytics, and enhance infrastructure and cloud operations, among other tasks. Prior to Hunt Consolidated, Diane was the CIO and vice president of Textron, Inc. Andi Karaboutis is the Group Chief Information and Digital Officer of National Grid, a British multinational electricity and gas utility company with a $19 billion annual revenue. In her role, Andi develops and delivers the enterprise wide IT and digital strategies and manages digital security and risk. She is also a member of National Grid’s Group Executive Committee. Prior to this role, Andi was the EVP of Technology, Business Solutions, and Corporate Affairs at Biogen and the Vice President and Global CIO at Dell. Before those roles, she directed IT teams at Ford and General Motors.
