Anousheh Ansari is the Chief Executive Officer of XPRIZE Foundation, the world’s leader in designing and operating incentive competitions to solve humanity’s grand challenges. Anousheh’s family sponsored the first XPRIZE, which sparked the private space industry by offering $10 million for the first private organization to launch a reusable manned spacecraft into space twice within two weeks. She is also well-known for being the first female private space explorer, the first astronaut of Iranian descent, the first muslim woman in space, and the fourth private explorer to visit space.” Prior to joining XPRIZE, Anousheh was CEO at Prodea Systems, an IoT company she co-founded in 2006.
