Anima Anankumar

Professor & Director of ML Research, CalTech & NVIDIA
Anima Anandkumar is a leading AI researcher in both academia and the industry. As Director of Machine Learning Research at NVIDIA and a Bren Professor in the Computer and Mathematical Sciences Department at Caltech, Anima leads machine learning and artificial intelligence research groups that are developing next-generation AI algorithms. Prior to joining NVIDIA and Caltech, Anima was a Principal Research Scientist at AWS, where she implemented scalable tensor algorithms and launched one of the first cloud AI services. Anima has been working towards her mission of democratizing AI, in the process receiving numerous awards and working for several global initiatives regarding AI, such as the Global Governance of AI Roundtable and the Expert network of the World Economic Forum, among others.
