Bill Miller’s Biography
Bill Miller is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at NetApp. He joined the $5 billion organization late last year to support and advance the company’s ongoing transformation.
Prior to joining NetApp, Bill was the CIO of Broadcom and of Harris Corporation. He also founded and led Sabal Systems, a high-tech consultancy firm.
Bill is active on multiple executive boards. He provides CIO advisory input for the dean of engineering at the University of Central Florida, for Information Systems Associates at the University of California, Los Angeles, and for the University of California, Irvine’s Center for Digital Transformation. He also provides advisory input for the Information Management Forum, a consortium of IT leadership.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Loyola University and a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Virginia. He also holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida.

Yvonne Wassenaar Biography
Yvonne is the Chief Information Officer of New Relic, a digital intelligence platform company. As CIO, Yvonne divides her focus between the company’s growth strategy and development of the supporting unified technology and data platform.
Yvonne joined New Relic to prepare the company for its IPO and subsequently has led key growth initiatives contributing to an almost two billion dollar valuation within two years. Prior to New Relic, Yvonne held multiple leadership positions at VMware.
Yvonne serves on the Board of Directors for Bitium, where she advises the cloud-based identity platform provider on technology trends and go-to-market expansion opportunities. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Harvey Mudd College and on the Board of Directors for the Athena Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of diversity in the boardroom.
Yvonne holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from UCLA and an MBA in strategy and operations from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.

Serving in the dual roles of CIO and Head of Global Facilities, Norm is advancing Illumina’s workplace evolution by merging technology and facility innovation to enhance employee collaboration, productivity, and satisfaction. In addition to leading Illumina’s digital transformation, Fjeldheim is responsible for Cyber and Product Security as well as key growth and customer engagement initiatives.

Mike Schroepfer’s Biography
Welcome to Metis Strategy’s Forum on World Class IT. I’m Peter High, and I’m pleased to welcome Mike Schroepfer to the broadcast. Mike is the Chief Technology Officer at Facebook. In that role, he leads the development of the technology strategies and teams that will enable Facebook to connect billions of people around the world and make significant breakthroughs in fields like artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
Before Facebook, Mike was the Vice President of Engineering at Mozilla Corporation, where he led the global and open product development process behind Firefox. Mike was formerly a distinguished engineer at Sun Microsystems, which acquired his company, CenterRun. He began his career working at various startups, including a digital effects software startup where he developed software that has been used in several major motion pictures.

Welcome to Metis Strategy’s Forum on World Class IT. I’m Peter High, and I’m pleased to welcome Jeff Dean to the broadcast. Jeff is a Google Senior Fellow, currently leading Google Brain, the search giant’s initiative to build large-scale artificial neural networks. Jeff also leads the development of TensorFlow, Google’s open-source library of machine learning algorithms.
Jeff joined Google in 1999 and had a leading role in building much of the core technology and infrastructure of the company
Jeff earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota where he studied Computer Science and Economics. In 2009, Jeff was elected to the National Academy of Engineering, and was also named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS).
I recently caught up with Jeff by phone at his office in Mountain View, California. Greg Meyers is the Chief Information Officer of Motorola Solutions, a $6 Billion telecommunications equipment provider that succeeded Motorola Inc. following the spin-off of Motorola’s mobile phone division. As CIO, Greg is responsible for the entire IT organization company-wide.
Prior to Motorola Solutions, Greg worked in multiple technology roles within the pharmaceutical industry, including stints as the Vice President of IT at Biogen, Vice President and CIO of Novartis Consumer Health, and Director of Sales and Customer Technology at Johnson and Johnson.

Scott McNealy was one of the chief architects of the first wave of the internet, as he co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Sun Microsystems from 1982 through 2006. The company was sold to Oracle in 2010. More recently, Scott co-founded and has served as CEO of Wayin, a social intelligence company that integrates social content into new experiences for consumers and delivers greater value and control for brands.
Scott received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and he received an MBA from Stanford University.

Paul Chapman is the Chief Information Officer of Box, an online file sharing and content management service for businesses.
