Celso Giuotoko’s Biography

Celso is the Alliance Global VP, Corporate Vice President, and CIO of the global corporate IS/IT function of Renault-Nissan, based in Yokohama, Japan.  Among other responsibilities, Celso is responsible for managing Renault and Nissan’s IS divisions worldwide.

Prior to joining Nissan, Celso served as vice president of i2 technologies, a supply chain management software and services company, which he joined after leaving Toshiba Corporation’s semi-conducotr division in the US.   Celso began his career as a system analyst at BRADESCO Brazilian bank in Sau Paulo, before eventually joining Andersen consulting (now Accenture) in 1985.  With Andersen, Celso moved to Chicago and eventually Tokyo.

In addition to his activities in the business world, from 1986 to 1988, he became Assistant Professor for Information Technology, at the Universidade Estadual de Sao Paulo where he also supervised the Internship Programme.

At the University of Sau Paulo in Brazil, Celso attended the Esola Politecnica and the Faculdade de Economia e Administracao.

Colin Boyd’s Biography

Colin Boyd is Chief Information Officer and Vice President for Johnson Controls, a multi-industrial Fortune 100 with revenues in excess of $40 billion that operates in the automotive interiors, automotive battery, and building systems market places. As CIO, Boyd is responsible for the entirety of the IT function, including managing an expense budget in excess of $700 million with IT staff throughout more than 80 countries. Boyd also serves as a board and Academic Committee member for the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls in 2008, Colin Boyd previously served in a variety of leadership roles for Sony Ericsson. As IT Director for Sony Europe from 1996 to 2001, Boyd oversaw IT operations for the region as well as implemented a single SAP system to replace multiple national platforms. As Chief Information Officer for Sony Ericsson from 2001 to 2008, Boyd established and headed an independent global IT function within the joint venture, implementing a single global SAP platform.

Boyd has a bachelor’s degree in production engineering from the University of Nottingham and a master’s degree in information technology from the University of London.

Timothy McCabe’s Biography

Tim is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Delphi, a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for automotives and other market segments. Tim is responsible for all strategic and operational information technology activities in support of Delphi’s global business and the adoption and integration of new technologies.

Tim has been with the company since 2006, when he joined Delphi Information Technology as the Director of Strategy and Sourcing. In this role, he led organization’s restructuring activities as well as the deployment of the global supplier management organization. Tim was also responsible for the development and execution of IT strategies, performance management, and organizational change management.

Prior to joining Delphi, Tim worked at General Motors where he served in a variety of leadership positions, as the Lead Director of Global Outsourcing, including leading the largest transaction in the IT industry.

Tim has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Oakland University and a master’s degree in management from Walsh College.

Ralph Szygenda’s Biography

Ralph is the former Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer of General Motors.  Since his retirement in 2009, Ralph has been the Managing Partner at UST Global and serves on Investment Advisory Board of Lead Edge Capital as well as Chairman of the Customer Advisory Board at iRise. He is also a Senior Advisor to the CEO of Elastic Outreach and serves as a member of the H John Heinz III Business College Deans’ Advisory Board at Carnegie Mellon University. From 1994 to 2013, Ralph served on various other Boards including Covisint, Compuware, Handleman Company and Sodalia Corporation.

Prior to his tenure at GM, Ralph served as Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Bell Atlantic Corporation. Ralph also spent 21 years at Texas Instruments Inc. prior to his time at Bell Atlantic. In 1989, he was appointed Vice-President, Information Systems and Services and Chief Information Officer. Two years later, in 1991, he added the responsibility of Vice-President and General Manager of Texas Instruments Enterprise Systems Business Unit, an external software systems integration business supplying information products and services to the Fortune 500.

Ralph has won numerous awards including being named Information Week’s 2002 Chief Information Officer of the Year and being named to CIO magazine’s Hall of Fame in 2007.

Ralph holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1970 and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas in 1975.

Jay Vijayan’s Biography

Jay is the Vice President of IT and Business Applications for Tesla Motors. Jay and his team are responsible for infrastructure, operations, security and business applications for all of Tesla including support of engineering groups, corporate business groups and the global sales, marketing and service organizations. Jay works with all the company’s groups to identify opportunities, to structure IT solutions, and to deliver measurable returns to the business.

Before joining Tesla Jay was the Sr. Director, IT Business Applications for VMware. In that capacity, Jay led the Applications Development of all business applications for VMware during a period of dramatic growth for the company, as it jumped from $700 million to $3.77 billion in annual revenue during the period between 2007 and 2012. Prior to his time at VMware,  Jay held a variety of Applications Management positions at Oracle.

Jay has a master’s degree from the University of Madras.
